Top Powerful Cars In The World

Bentley Continental Supersports -- 700bhp, 209mph

Bet you'd forgotten about this one. Yes, just before Bentley wowed us with the sleeker, more raffish new Continental GT, it created a Supersports version of the incoming vehicle. And the headline was rather simply this: seven hundred horsepower. And that's appropriate Victorian British imperial reel. It's perhaps not the most populous car on this list by a margin, but that is actually the reigning speed champ among Bentleys, and incongruously magnificent as a result.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS -- 691bhp, 211mph

We waited quite a while for Porsche to turn the 991-generation of 911 into a 'widowmaker'. When the 691bhp GT2 RS came, and we drove it, the most shocking thing was how habitable and un-terrifying it was. This 's modern tyres and aerodynamics for you. And consequently, the GT2 RS blitzed around the Nrburgring in a new record time of 6mins 43.7sec. Note: to replicate this time you need to be as handy and brave as an actual professional racing driver.

Koenigsegg Agera RS -- 1,340bhp, 277mph

It's not annually -- believe it or not -- that you obtain a new fastest car in the world. Many talk the talk, but few actually set off at a straight line with timing gear and cameras on board to take on the challenge. This past year, Koenigsegg did just that on a closed street in Nevada, and averaged out 277mph from the procedure.

Lamborghini Aventador S -- 730bhp, 217mph

Speaking of V12s, Lamborghini's flagship needed a proper workover in 2017 in order to keep pace with the aptly-named 812 Superfast. The Aventador S's enormous invention is rear-wheel steering, that provides the new big bull something coming agility, but the excess 40bhp wrung in the 6.5-litre V12 is a bonus worth using.
